Community Cycling Activities

We are committed to providing opportunities for all to access the beautiful Yorkshire Dales safely by bike. To this end in collaboration with Yorebridge Community Fitness we run cycling skill sessions to suit all abilities and all ages.

Friday Night Bike Sportivate Club

After school club for confident cyclist 10-16s.  Focusing on developing Mountain Bike Skills. £2.50 per session

Saturday Bike Club

Fun skill based session held in a traffic free zone. Suitable for all abilities of children (5-10yrs old) who can pedal independently.  Held at Askrigg School and Hawes Community Feld on alternating weeks 10am-12am. In addition we frequently hold a beginners Pedal Power session which is specifically designed for younger children learning to cycle and uses balance bikes. We also have a small fleet of bikes that are available for children to borrow free of charge. (these must be booked) Session cost £2.50 per child

For both groups we run Family Rides in school holidays that allow siblings, parents and grandparents to get involved.

Adult Cycling

We aim to host a road session for adult recreational cyclist twice a month. Further we can also provide learner sessions on a Thursday am.  Bikes available to borrow.

All activities are led by National or CTC Trail Leader instructors.  All instructors are DBS checked and hold Outdoor First Aid certification.
