Overview

The Advanced Rim Defence (ARD) from MTB specialists Nukeproof has been developed to prevent damage to your rims and to stop punctures. Boasting a unique design, they have been developed over two years in collaboration with CRC sponsored downhill and enduro athletes and staff. During development, Nukeproof paid careful attention to the overall weight too, bringing a 29" insert at 144g and a 27.5” insert at 130g.

By using closed cell foam technology, the A.R.D is a very lightweight tyre insert, yet it offers you lots of protection. It enables you to run your tyres at much lower pressures without risking flats, plus gives you much increased grip for thrashing around the trails. In fact, it's so good that Kelan Grant, a CRC-Mavic sponsored rider was able to complete a stage of the EWS on just his A.R.D as his tyre had split. Included in the box, you'll receive your A.R.D Inserts and two copper coloured tubeless valves.
